Who’s Your One?
A 2019 Lifeway survey revealed that 52% of people who don’t attend church would be open to joining a service if invited. Additionally, the study found that almost 80% of unchurched individuals are comfortable discussing faith-related topics with friends who hold strong beliefs. Taking initiative and inviting those where we live, work, and play to join us on a Sunday morning can have a major impact . We aim to offer you resources and ideas to support your efforts in engaging your friends and family.
Seven Ways To Invite Someone To Church
Invite Card
Invite cards serve as a helpful tool for sharing information about Calvary Baptist Church with the community. You can use them to connect with your neighbors, friends, and family, or distribute them in public spaces. For instance, consider giving one to a waiter at a restaurant (just remember to tip generously), sharing it with a family your children play sports with, or leaving a few at a local small business with their consent. Feel free to get creative in how you utilize these cards!
Hi ___________
I hope you are having a great day!
I attend Calvary Baptist Church and I’m so excited about all the great things God is doing at Calvary!
Our worship service is on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am. Would you be interested in coming to a service with me soon?
Let me know when you would be available and we can make plans.
Note: If you are writing an email about an event, make sure to include the date, time, and location. Make sure that the person you are inviting has your phone number so you can meet them once they arrive.

Following Up
Be purposeful with your invitations! Show your guests that you sincerely want them to join you at Calvary Baptist Church. Here are some key points to remember after inviting friends and family:
-
Be intentional. Chances are your guests will not know what door to use or where to meet you. Make sure you consider these things before Sunday morning.
-
Walk with them. Guide them to various areas of the church they may need to visit. For example, if they require childcare, walk them to the children's wing and introduce them to the leaders there.
-
Follow up. Reach out to them after their visit to express your gratitude for their attendance and encourage them to join you again.
-
Stay consistent. Make sure to stay engaged in the relationship even if they do not come to Calvary again.
